The real trick would be turning a Glock into an attractive firearm.

I have a very pretty colt 1911a1 that stays home in the safe. My glock is my "don't leave home without it gun". I happen to think the glock is a good looking gun but seeing that it is concealed from all other eyes, anyone else who has the misfortune of seeing it probably won't be commenting on how pretty it is.

In all honesty, to me the only really ugly gun is the one pointed my way.

The SBR thing just throws it out the cool window for me...

Re: Turn your Glock into a rifle.
I could be wrong, but I don't think these are SBR's. My understanding of the law is that you can put a stock on a pistol legally, as long as it was made as a pistol first. You just can't put the short barrel or convert to pistol something that was a regular rifle first. I got this from the guys who buy AR lowers to build their own toys. Some want AR style pistols so they have to make sure the frame was made into a pistol first, then they can do what they want with it. I don't know how you convince ATF if you built it then took it apart, but it is easy to convince them if it was sold by the factory as a pistol first. The original yellow sheet would be all the proof you need.MojoTexas wrote:And what's ironic is that we have to register them as SBR's and pay $$$ for the privilege. My last few AR receivers were not specified as rifle or pistol. Dealer said I could do whatever with it.

Re: Turn your Glock into a rifle.
You better watch out what you get from these guys. Making an SBR out of a pistol must be accompanied by a stamp. You must obtain an ATF Form 1, firearms manufacturer form, and pay the $200 tax stamp. Once you built the gun you must have your name, city, and state engraved on the recieve since you have manufactured the SBR. even having a rifle stock and ar pistol can get you in hot water if you don't have an AR rifle because of "constructive possession". Getting a Form 1 and making an SBR from a pistol is one of the least expensive and fastest ways to get an SBR, but it has to be done in a certain order to make it all legal.srothstein wrote: I could be wrong, but I don't think these are SBR's. A Glock is what you show to your enemies.

And speaking as a "committed" Glock owner, all these goofy pistol mods make me think of this....

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.
