Websites and Forums

Post by troglodyte »

I figure most of us are regulars (readers or contributors) to other gun-related or self defense forums. Let's get a list of those sites going. I anticipate that many of the same sites will show up but I'm always looking for another site to waste more time on.

Ones I regularly visit:

http://www.1911forum.com (1911 based forum)
http://www.packing.org (conceal carry/self defense)
http://www.greybeardoutdoors.com (lots of hunting but some personal protection)
http://www.survivalforum.com (survival type issues. Everything from the end of the world to how to can squash)
http://www.warriortalk.com (Self-defense issues/training. Lots of LEO type stuff)
http://www.ar15.com (and sister site AK47) (Assault rifles)
http://www.gunsamerica.com (buy/sell firearms)

I'll throw a couple of others out that I know of but don't visit much.

http://www.glocktalk.com (Glock based forum)
http://www.gunbroker.com (Gun auction site)

I spend most of my forum time (as in daily)in the first two. Dabble in the others from time to time (weekly to monthly).

A couple of these are not "true" firearm/defense websites but do have related issues and do have at least some kind of section dedicated to personal protection.

I use Gunbroker and GunsAmerica for "price guides" and to be able to "research" firearms I might be interested in. I have never bought from them.

I'm looking forward to perusing other sites you frequent.

I usually hang out at www.hs2000talk.com. It's for Springfield XD series and the HS2000.

Usenet.

tx.guns

Google groups during the day, and Forte Free Agent at night.

Pretty limited as to what I can access @work. They have been restricting access to most anything with the word "gun" in it. :x

Gunbroker.com - X
GunsAmerica.com - X
Uncle Mike's - X
H & K - X
Ammoman.com - X
etc.
