Does anyone have a Kimber Tactical II? The right side of the ambi-safety does not have the tang on most safeties, so I'm guessing Kimber is using a King ambi-safety. Does anyone know for sure? Does the left side thumb safety come off as with others, i.e. just pull it off?
Thanks,
Chas.

Re: Kimber Tactical II thumb safety
My Para P-13 Limited is the same way. I dint think the safety on the Para is a King's unit though....it appears to be a MIM unit. It is "stainless" appearing, but sweat from carrying it has discolored it to some degree. It is not surface discoloration and I can only speculate that it is oxidation down in the "pores".

Re: Kimber Tactical II thumb safety
The right side of the ambi does not just pull out, since it is held with the hammer pin.
Here is a pic of the hammer pin from Kimber website:

In order to remove the safety you have to take the left side out first and then push the right side up to clear the pin it rides on.
Let me know if you need anything else.
