Where are you located and what's "cheap"?
Re: WTB 2 12g pumps cheap
I post on here so much I just took it for granted that people knew my location...Houston area and cheap would be around 200 and under.

That seems overpriced to me. When I see these at GT Distributors in Austin they go for $150-$175 usually, especially when they're well-used with some rust to clean off etc.OverEasy wrote:Here ya go,

I agree that is a little over priced for the condition.austinrealtor wrote:That seems overpriced to me. When I see these at GT Distributors in Austin they go for $150-$175 usually, especially when they're well-used with some rust to clean off etc.OverEasy wrote:Here ya go,

Re: WTB 2 12g pumps cheap
Beware of online dealers who may/may not (I have not dealt with Buds before) delete negative reviews. I was recently ripped off by an online dealer on a gun auction site. The gun auction site deleted my negative review of the dealer. Now, I will only deal with online dealers who have a 100% customer satisfaction rating since dealers with a 99% rating means that the 1% unsatisfied customers is just the tip of the iceberg. I also will no longer deal with that particular gun auction site for deleting my negative rating. I will also do a google search of any gun dealer before dealing with them, "name of gun dealer" or "name of gun dealer review".
After googling for Buds Gun Shop, here is what I found:
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complain ... 12331.html
Again, I have not dealt with Buds before, so I cannot tell you if the allegations regarding his business is true or not, so read and judge for yourself. The dealer who took my money and ran is not Buds. The dealer that I dealt with is in the DFW area. Buds is in a different state, so don't ask me about Buds. However, the two businesses sound similar. Buds sells guns super cheap and does a huge volume of sales. The local DFW dealer that I dealt with had sales from me without a hitch many times already. However, since they are so busy, my recent sales somehow fell between the cracks. Also, because they lack customer service and are really busy, my calling them every other day is "rude" so they won't even pick up my phone calls anymore. They got my money and did not mail a gun. If there is litigation, the customer will not name the dealer, so if you see a negative review on a forum somewhere, it is also probably the tip of the iceberg.
I suggest that you do not proceed with the sale with any dealer that does not have a 100% satisfaction rating, has negative reviews that have not been resolved, or advertises on that gun auction site which I cannot name. Also, the better business bureau also does not really care about the consumer because they are just a business. My family used to own a business and they approached us to be a member for a monthly fee. Businesses pay the better business bureau, not the consumer. It's not like consumer reports. So, there's a conflict of interest. Why do you think that gun auction site sides with the dealers and deletes your negative ratings? The businesses pays their rent. I would view the "resolved" disputes lodged with the BBB as the tip of the iceberg in a giant iceberg of UNRESOLVED complaints.
If you want a 12g pump cheap new, go to Dick's Sporting Goods and buy from them. The salesman in the Dallas store by the Tollway next to the Galleria is very knowledgeable and will match any price of any brick and mortar store anywhere in the metroplex. He guarantees that he has the lowest prices. If I'm in the market for a new 12g, I would buy from him only. If you want a 12g used, use this board. I'm sure someone will PM you with a good offer. 12g are plentiful and any hunter probably has more than one.
GT Distributors seem OK after a google search. Not one bad customer review on the net anywhere to be found:

Good luck and be careful out there!

They have a store and business hours so you can walk in and you're not buying a pig in a poke. Plus you don't have to pay extra FFL fees like with Bud's or some of the out of state people who post on Texas gun boards.
When in doubt

Just wanted to say that I had a positive expirience with Bud's.
