I'm not sure why there was ever any question about shipping. My earlier post, quoting the BATFE web site, states that rifles and shotguns can be sent from one individual to another individual in the same state by mailing with the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE.Mike1951 wrote:Kel Tec calls the Sub 2000 a carbine, not a pistol. Were it classified as a pistol, not even Lone Star Express will ship from one individual to another,Q: May a nonlicensee ship a firearm through the U.S. Postal Service?
A nonlicensee may not transfer a firearm to a non-licensed resident of another State. A nonlicensee may mail a shotgun or rifle to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. The Postal Service recommends that long guns be sent by registered mail and that no marking of any kind which would indicate the nature of the contents be placed on the outside of any parcel containing firearms. Handguns are not mailable. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.

Your Sub-2000 is a rifle.

I some how skipped over your post. I just thought shipping a rifle intrastate was as much of a hassle as shipping a hand gun. Sorry I thought I responded to all PMs. I'm looking for some L glass or wide (10-20mm). But I've had 10 offers for FTF already
