Real bad guys, as opposed to paper targets, seldom stand still when you point a gun at them if they are not surrendering.

4 out of 4 hits on target sounds like good numbers to me.

that is quite true.

I don't know that I could do as much under stress.

most bedrooms aren't that big to be more then ~15ft away at any time. I would think you could put the rds into CoM very easily at that distance!

I'm not that great of a shot, but at 15ft I can put them all in a quite small target.

now taking into account the stress of the situation will have a factor in the accuracy, but it sounds like the guy had his head on pretty straight. telling the BG to drop it before firing.
I'm sure the fact that they had knives and he had a gun helped his stress level somewhat.
What's that old saw about bringing a gun to a knife fight? I don't think the BGs were aware of the statistics on gun-owning households.

If both those guys with knives charged the homeowner; the homeowner could have easily been killed.

I think he shot pretty well considering what happened.

The story says the one that got shot once in the chest died. Pretty good shooting in my opinion.
