hi,
I am thinking about applying for my concealed handgun license, but I'm a little worried about this a little bit. A little background,
When I was a minor I was diagnosed with depression and I checked myself into a hospital to get help. I wasn't commited, I went voluntarily. I stayed for 2 days and was released. I haven't been on any medication or gone for any counseling since. Would this be something that would cause my application to be denied? I was looking on the FAQ section of the DPS website and it said something about a five year period, and since it's been longer than that I don't think I should have a problem, but I wanted to post up here to be sure.
Thanks in advance!

Most likely not. If the DPS forms still say "five years," you're out of the woods.Would this be something that would cause my application to be denied?

Fear, anger, hatred, and greed. The devil's all-you-can-eat buffet.
