We go through a lot of milk at casa de foo, so I use milk jugs. I cut the top off with a razor blade. Works ok.

I use the plastic cans that coffee comes in. Between what we drink at home and the place I used to work I have lots, and can get more as I need.
The middle size seems to work best for me. I can get 500 .45 cases in one (adjust for other calibers). And the various colors make it easy to organize calibers -- especially when they have different color tops that can be used in combination with the cans.
I have many of these. They store pretty easily even full because they can be stacked several high.

I have found that a 55 gallon drum works great for my 9mm brass. I use a 35 gallon trash can for 40 S&W and 45 ACP. All the rest is in 5 gallon buckets.

I don't think anyone will top that one for a while. Do you and CompVest pool your brass or do you keep them separate? :biggrinjester:

The reason compvest keeps me around is to keep her supplied with loaded ammunition...And she goes through a bunch of it.

Marty had to post a picture just to prove it. But... he's not smart enough to figure out how to get a picture on here, so I had to do it for him!

Lucky Dog! I had to leave all my brass and reloading equipment back in Ohio until I can get a place that has the space I need.

+1 on the coffee containers. I get mine from work. Otherwise, they just get thrown into the trash.
I also like and use the military ammo cans, but it's hard to find them cheaply any more.

Correct about ammo cans. I only have one not in use right now. All full of ammo.
I probably have 10 or so & only one not in use.

I use the large clear containers that peanuts and almonds come in from Sam's. Once they're empty I soak them in hot water with a little Dawn to get them cleaned out. They stack well and you can see what's in them. They also have hand grips on the sides that makes them easy to handle. I think they hold around 300 9mms. I put loaded hand gun ammo in them as well and use the lid to hold the ones I dump out when reloading the mags.

My favorite brass storage for more than 100 rounds is the Rubbermiad Roughneck 3 gallon storage bin:

The lid is heavy duty enough to allow for stacking and provides for uniformity.

Plastic coffee cans work well and are free to get ( you have to know someone who drinks coffee), IF you find you need more I also use the FREE bulk rate boxes from the post office. I used the Medium size ones with packing tape and a black marker. They are easy to move, store and stack and are uniform in size for better origination.
