I have been here in Topeka for a few days on a project and I have just found out that OC is legal in Topeka. The city inadvertantly voted out the ordinance that forbid OC within the city limits and the latest attempt to reinstate it has failed. I have not witnessed OC being practiced, but I will start watching for it.

I can say that there is no blood running down the streets, and local LEO seems to support OC.

One of the things that takes a little getting used too is any gun buster sign prevents you from legally CC'ing. One nice touch is that there are several gun buster type signs displayed around the city that is a revolver with a green circle around it that is posted as a welcome sign for those of us who carry. A nice touch that I would like to see in Texas.

This IS a good idea, I like it!

...Although I would prefer they used the black 1911 silhouette, rather than the revolver... just personal preference

Just to update, as of July 1, 2010 there is an official sign. Appears to be a Baretta 92, red circle, and red slash. (Sorry no 1911, I have the same preference)

I am going to check out Kaw Valley Gun Club this weekend. It advertizes as being the only indoor range in topeka.
