Why do you guys do this to me? I would love this thing, but I've already got something else planned for about the same price.

I do have a question, though. What's the difference between this version and the M4 version?

When I think of a shorty my mind pops to 10.5" barrel...I guess I'm not familiar with BM's naming conventions.

I am actually selling this one to fund an SBR. Its basically just a Cali legal carbine with a full length 16'' barrel. I think w/o the comp. its .5'' shorter than a typical BM 16'' so it "short" for them.
