He's Coming Home

Post by tex45acp »

To all my fellow CHL forum members. Tomorrow the body of a true hero is coming back to Texas.

For those of you who live near Columbus Texas, or read the Houston, San Antonio or Austin newspapers, you have probably heard of the death of one of it's residents.

The body of 18 year old Army Private Christopher Kilpatrick will arrive home from Iraq on Sunday June 26, where he made the ultimate sacrifice for God & Country to help eliminate the threat of terrorism through the world. Christopher had only been in Iraq for 4 months. Christopher will be buried in Columbus with full military honors.

We have close ties with Christophers family....in fact he and my son are very close and played together when growing up.

I ask that you pray for Christophers soul and his families comfort in this difficult time. I would also ask that you pray for safekeeping for all servicepersons around the world.

Thank You
Mike

While it's not near enough, thanks for their sacrifice and they have our collective thoughts and prayers.

The sadness in my heart and grief for Christopher's family is heightened by his tender years. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace, for he has fought the good fight and stayed the course.

Thanks to all of you!

I dont know if this was the correct thing to do by posting such a sensitive subject in this forum, but I just had to share this with all of you. Especially if you have members of your family serving in that country.

Yes very sensitive. My son returned walking, & I still shed tears of gratitude for those who return carried. Thank you for sharing your heart.
