Now in Arizona, anyone can carry if they're not a criminal. They can carry open or carry concealed.

Now in Texas, anyone can carry if they spend ten hours in a training class, spend money for the training class, spend more money for the license fee, send fingerprints and social security number to DPS, and pass a criminal and financial background check. They can carry concealed only, and if a cop notices the gun they can get arrested. Especially near Austin.

I have an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). I do not think the new law affects that permitting system in any way, and I don't think it removes the training requirement for obtaining a CWP. You just no longer need a CWP to carry openly or concealed.
