Can I carry on someone else's private property?

I am ofter on my clients property and sometimes inside their homes on a daily basis performing the work that I do. They wouldn't know that I was carrying...but am I required to get their permission?

I am going to make some assumptions here which may or may not be accurate.

Is your name Randy and do you work for Centex?

IF this is the case, your employer has a no weapons policy and those consequences are probably pretty well detailed in said policy.

IF this is the case, I would change my screen name.

Even better, don't say that kind of stuff on the internet.

Let me tell a story.

A little while ago, I was getting my AC system replaced by a contractor at my house.

Somewhere in the house, I left out the plastic case for one of my Colts. (Empty, of course).
The AC Guy saw it, and asked what I had bought. I went and got my new (at the time) 1911 from the safe, and we had a nice chat about it, guns in general, etc.
He then showed me his S&W Revolver that he was carrying, and we went back to his truck where he had a M1 that he had just received as well.

He didn't ask my permission, and if we never got on the topic of guns and firearms, I would have never known. Didn't bother me in the least. Actually, was sort of relieved that the AC Guy working on my house was another gun guy

You mean he.... "carrie(d) a handgun on or about (his) person

Perhaps you made the "premises (your house) under his control". Just sayin'

You are right...your assumption is NOT accurate. I happen to LIVE in Central Texas, hence the screen name CENTEXRANDY. I do not know what employer you are talking about "Centex" There are about several hundred Centex companies just as there are hundreds of Lonestar companies. Thank you for your concern on my companies weapons policy, but since I am the owner of the company I would know if there were any such policies. I think I will be keeping my screen name...unless I move out of Central Texas.
