Feel kinda guilty
Picked up a Citadel 1911 a few weeks ago, the price was right and it felt and looked good.
Brought it home and compared it to my KImber Eclipse Ultra II.
The Citadel feels better in my hand and shoots just as well as the Kimber-no problems with either gun.
I know the Kimber quality is superior but I think I would feel more comfortable carrying the Cit.
Maybe the Kimber will be my dress up gun and the Cit will be the everyday workhorse-it aint pretty but thats the beauty of it.

If I'm not mistaken, the Citadel is manufactured by Armscor...The same manufacturer of Rock Island.
The Armscor made 1911's are a excellent value for the money.
Congratulations on you're purchase!

Right you are-she was pretty and still is. I feel guilty for liking my Pinto better than my Ferrari.WildBill wrote:USA1 wrote:Probably because he's cheatin on his Kimber.MedicMan218 wrote:I'm missing something.....why do you feel guilty?I'll bet that when he first saw "Kim", all shiny and pretty, and unfired, it was love at first sight. I am sure that when he took her home for the first time to meet the family he told her that she would be the only one in his life. And now this!!!
Guess the Kimber will be my 'go to church' gun.
I still long for another Kimber, believe me when I see it I'll buy it :) The Cit is a tool, the Kimber is art, I like art................

I know what you mean. It's not the end of the world if you get a few
nicks and dings on the Cit. It just adds to the character.
Those same nicks and dings on the Kimber, and it's
time.

Maybe he feels guilty paying so much for a Kimber, now that he has a 1911 that's just as good for half the price.USA1 wrote:Probably because he's cheatin on his Kimber.MedicMan218 wrote:I'm missing something.....why do you feel guilty?
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
Re: Feel kinda guilty
That seems to be the case here. I suggest you sit down with your Kimber and talk to her. Feel free to use one of my tried and true lines (modified for the situation of course)USA1 wrote:Probably because he's cheatin on his Kimber.MedicMan218 wrote:I'm missing something.....why do you feel guilty?
"It's not you, it's me. I just need some space. You deserve better than me - better ammo and better holsters."
"I'm having a mid-life crisis. I had to see if I could still perform with another gun."
"It doesn't mean anything. She is a low-class one-range stand. I feel dirty after shooting her. You are my Gunsafe queen."
"I was really, really drunk. I blacked out. I would have never shot anyone but you if I had been sober. I probablay thought I was shooting you anyway."
"Look, I had shot her before for 3 years. It wasn’t a big deal, we just went to the range again. It was just because of our history, and because we never really had closure."
"I just carried her in the same holster I only held her. We didn’t do anything. I didn't even rack her slide. We’re just friends "
Best of luck.

After reading all of this........It sounds like Y'all need to step away from the keyboard and head to the Shootin' Range!!!!

Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.
