I'm no more likely to shoot you than randomly walk up and hit you...or for that matter even so much as touch you. And we're the paranoid ones?

I've been seriously impressed with the increasing number of folks around me with advanced degrees (including teachers in college) who tell me they have, or are planning to have, a CHL. These are folks who are noticing what's happening around them, 'nuff said.

I am by no means criticizing those that want to keep the fact they have a CHL to themselves.

I mention it from time to time when someone raises the subject of shooting or guns. Some of my neighbors know.

I believe that if more people know that the guy next door, or the guy they work with has a CHL and has never hurt or even scared anyone, it will do more good for the reputation of CHL holders than the Brady Bunch can counter.

We would not know about those people with advanced degrees that have CHLs if they had not told you.

Yes, you're right. To be sure, though, these are people who are relatively close to me (and trust me). That alone tells me there are many more around.

Of course, my original point was that the occupations that have the reputation of being "anti" -- well, it ain't necessarily so!
