VFW Posts in NW Houston

Post by Purplehood »

Are there any VFW members on this forum living in the Tomball/NW Houston area?

I have been a member for over a year and never found a post. I recall doing some Googling to find one, but can't seem to find one that doesn't meet once every leap year behind Joe's Garage at 3AM.

It is time to renew and before I decide to pass on renewing my membership, I would like to make one last feeble attempt to find an active post to join.

The VFW post on Alice use to be very active. While I no longer live in Tomball, I did for 15 years. My daughter and I were always over there for her ROTC. Always had something on the board that was upcoming. Now granted, that has been a few years back..

I know it would be a long drive for you, but we would be proud to have you as a member in the post 5400. It is located in Alta Loma.

I see that a couple of others have referenced the VFW post off of 290. I would also recommend that one. Also, if your hungry after you leave stop by Carl's BBQ. Its just down the road.

As far as I know Tomball's VFW off Alice is still quite active. I know they do a lot with the THS NJROTC and still have a scholarship with them - My daughter was a proud recipient a couple years ago. Some nice folks with that group.
