In fact, I would go so far as to say C1 is the only rational way. C3 is not fast enough if you really need the gun. And C1 is absolutely, perfectly, safe. It is no riskier - in fact, some would argue less risky - than carrying a striker fired pistol in C1 without a safety. It's just that the sight of a raised hammer is a psychological barrier to some that they just can't get past; even considering the thought of a cocked striker, which is just as much of a "risk" as any cocked hammer. It just doesn't occur to them because the striker is "out of sight; out of mind." I have nothing against striker-fired pistols. I own and carry one myself from time to time.
