Just renewed my Connecticut - State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers (yeah, that's what they call it). Mailed notarized form, photo, check for $70, and color copy of my US passport on Thu, 10/28. Got the card yesterday...my birthday. They don't expire on your birthday, it was just coincidence. I used to have family there, but they've passed. Got the original 5 years ago just to rack up a New England "blue" state. By the letter of the law CT is a "may issue" state, but in practice and by state court precedent they are "shall issue".
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"
