This has probally been asked and answered but I have missed it but can a person here legaly from another country, i.e. Mexico, obtain a Texas C.H.L.???? This came up this morning at the coffee shop and I said I did'nt think so. One guy said when he renewed several months ago a legal immagrant from Mexico was in his class and needed an interpeter but took the class and qualified. It is unknown if he got his chl or not.

Yes. So long as the applicant meets all the requirements detailed in Government Code §411 (specifically §411.172), a foreign national can obtain a Texas CHL.

Yes legal resident with a green card or as some claimed valid visa I-94 entrance card plus valid hunting licenses
