Harris County legislative initiatives:
Add community centers to the list of places where carrying a concealed hand gun is prohibited.
No new laws are need to do it. It's simple. The communist centers can give up all tax money and post 30.06 like other private business that hate the bill of rights.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
My community center (Recreation Center) is owned by the city. If the city were to try and pass an ordinance prohibiting CHL's in it they would be in violation of state law. If this is the case for any of the community centers in Harris County they too would be in violation of the state law.

The State preemption law is what they want to change in upcoming legislative session. Houston doesn't have enough "defenseless victim" zones for gang members before basketball

I think it is time the State very publicly reminds these little tyrants they are not independent of or equal to the powers granted to the state government by the people of this state.
