SOLD: S&W SW40VE Allied Forces, Ammo & Gear -

Post by Keith B »

Up for sale is my S&W Allied Forces (Melonite® slide) SW40VE with some ammo and accessories. Looking to get out of the .40S&W business to standardize on fewer calibers.

Pistol has about 800 rounds through it. Has had the ramp and internal parts 'fluffed and buffed', with a little extra trigger work to smooth and slightly lighten the pull. Sights have been painted with 'Bright Sights' paint. Have all original paperwork and box with both mags.

Package includes 100 rounds of FMJ (50 WWB & 50 Professional Reloads) and 36 rounds of Federal JHP. Also have 3 holsters, a Fobus paddle, a Don Hume IWB (brown leather) and an Uncle Mikes Retention holster for the gun. Prefer to sell as a complete package unless someone wants all accessories and ammo, then will sell the pistol alone.

$300 Firm FTF (CHL preferred) in DFW.

Price lowered to $350. The Allied Forces version is no longer in production. They are going for $380+ for gun alone on the auction sites when you can find them. Add another $150 worth of holsters and ammo. Someone take these off my hands so I can finance another gun purchase. :thumbs2:

I believe I've shot this exact pistol, and as someone who once owned a GlockenWesson, the trigger on this'n ain't terrible!

Keith's not a bad fellar, neither. ya know, FTMP, YMMV... ;-)
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

Thanks Rob. :tiphat:

And, the trigger is even better than when you shot it. It is also a pound or two lighter and nice and smooth now.

The Sigma line gets a bad rap, and I agree with it from the standpoint that the triggers are awful out of the box. But with a little TLC, a fluff and buff and a couple of minor tweaks, the action becomes pretty good. And, this is probably one of the best cycling guns I have owned as it has never failed to feed or fire for me. I am just trying to get down to less caliber's to deal with and this is my only .40 left. :thumbs2:

Price reduced to $325. Would really like to get this thing moved before the weekend. Someone needs to give it a good home.

Keith, two questions....

1. is the trigger same as on an M&P?

2. what is the bottom holster pictured?

TAM,

No, the trigger is not the same as the M&P. It is a Sigma, but this trigger has been smoothed and lightened up by a fluff and buff on the sear and connector so nothing near like the out of box gritty heavy Sigma trigger.

The holster is an Uncle Mike's retention holster http://www.lapolicegear.com/uncle-mikes ... sters.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Someone needs to make me an offer on this package. I am feeling pretty generous today. Might even sell gun and ammo separate from holsters since they will fit multiple guns and I can ship those and take PayPal for them. :thumbs2:

If it was a 9mm I would have already got it for a range gun.

Yeah, if I had other .40's I would keep it, but trying to get rid of that one odd caliber for me since I no longer have my Glock 22. Has been a really great shooter; super reliable and solid and eats everything I have put in it.

Yep. Ammo is more expensive for a range gun & the perceived recoil makes it not really a good one for ladies that have never shot. I think I am going to have 4 of them tomorrow. I kinda need a good class. Been a little slow last month again. :tiphat:

OK folks, last price drop for package deal. There is over $150 of of holsters and ammo here. (Don Hume and Fobus sell for $30 each and the Uncle Mike's sells for about $58) Just not sure why it hasn't moved unless it is the caliber. :headscratch

Or, maybe I am catching everyone when their taxes are due? :grumble
