I love to grill. Especially grilled vegetables (like all kinds of squash, onions, peppers, etc. . .).

Yours looks great!

My favorite thing to grill is a thick, well marbled ribeye that has marinated for several days.
Throw it on a red hot grill for about 3 or 4 minutes on each side and I'm in Heaven.

Hold the steak sauce. ;-)

Looks tasty! And a great bottle of wine.

I'm getting excited for the summer. My next purchase will be the La Caja China and we'll roast a nice 50lb pig! Some fried plantains, mojitos, and some R&R.

I am right with you. It took me years to convince my wife that ribeyes were a lot better than he sirloins.

I have been a rib-eye snob for many years. Many people will use olive oil in their marinade, but lately I have been using walnut oil. I think that it helps give them a good tasty crust.

I haven't tried the Thai chicken yet, but I will. I still use the Blue Burger recipe that Novaman posted awhile back.

My wife is not a big rib eye fan. She just doesn't like the fat on them. Thats ok though because I'll happily take the fat from her plate and consume it. She will get her grub on though if I offer her a good NY Strip Steak fresh off the grill! I 2nd "hold the steak sauce".

Thanks for the compliments, all. It was a pretty easy dinner to put together, and it got rave reviews from the wife (she has to pretend to like it :biggrinjester: ) and her friend (who is very blunt and would have told me if it was bad).

WildBill, glad you're still enjoying that burger recipe. I found a recipe for tomato grilled with some bread crumbs, blue cheese, etc on it that I'm going to try out as soon as my tomatos ripen. When I do I'll probably make the Blues Burgers with them and post up the recipe again.

And for the steak guys, you're right, I love grilling steaks too. But the wife is from Colorado and didn't even have red meat until she came to Texas, so we do a lot more shrimp and chicken on the grill than red meat just to make her happy.

Either way, as long as I'm grilling I'm having fun. ;-)

I haven't been keeping track, but I probably grill 200 days out of the year. The last time I used my oven to cook meat was last Thanksgiving when I cooked the turkey in the Weber for about an hour and then finished roasting it in the oven.

Sure nuff!

When my neighbors grill, I'm like a bloodhound.
I can tell who is grilling and what they're grilling just by sniffing the wind. :evil2:

Is it me or does the neighbor's grill always smell better?

You're right. I think it has to do with the "free stuff tastes better" factor. ;-)
