Smooth Wood Grips?

Ok, I ordered these mostly because of how they look. I see how checkered would be easier to grip but are smooth grips really hard to shoot with? JLaw says this is a Bar-B-Q gun anyway

I think they look great. I am the black sheep of this family. I personally have all smooth on my shooters. I don't have any problems with the smooth grips. I depsise the checkered ones.

They look nice. I would certainly have to play around with the grips awhile before deciding if I would carry; I imagine hands would get sweaty in a bad situation.

Those look great I might have to get me some for my CZ Rami.
Have they made the grip any larger hold? I had an old Ruger 44mag
with smooth walnut grips and was'nt a problem for me .

Smooth grips have the advantage of being able to easily adjust your grip upon initial presentation. I prefer checkered and use alumagrips myself, but like the look of the smooths.

Barbeque? Diode is having a holiday barbeque at his place? Sweet! When is it? Can we bring a guest? I'll contribute some brisket and chicken.

Shucks. I blame Jason.

But they're fine looking grips, and I think the shape and size of a grip are far more important than texturing, though my preference is textured and strap-checkered.

I like the looks of the smooth grips on a handgun as much as a fine stock on a good rifle. BUT I sweat so bad they get real slick.
I am w/ JLaw on this one.
Pass the potatoe salad. The brisket is good.

BTW will have a range report on the 66 ready after we get through eating. Good shooter.

Good to hear LT, I thought it shot nice. You sorta part owner of the P245

I'll keep you posted on the grips and how it shoots with them. Carlson and Myself may be starting the "Smooth Grip Club"

My S&W has smooth grips and my Kimber has checkered. I haven't paid
any attention as to the hand grip on either one, although I don't sweat
much. I'm skinny.
