Don't be afraid to call the cops after an incident like that. Just let them know this person was waiving a gun at you and that you're now afraid for the person they got in a wreck with, could they please send police immediately to the scene.
I'd have been a bit concerned about leaving a woman stranded in the middle of the night with a group of armed men with attitude.
I would have probably parked a half block away to observe while calling 911, and informing them that at least one occupant had been armed and threatening.

Because I was 60 and could get it for half price. Then discovered the costs of the NRA handgun course, CHL course, Range time for practice, ammo shot and after getting the CHL the additional cost of buying a smaller concealable handgun. Hesitate to add it all up but it = priceless.
