My niece shooting IDPA

Post by williamkevin »

My 17 year-old niece shot her 4th IDPA match this last Monday night. She took "most accurate" (7 points down over 6 stages) shooting TLynn's Hk USP 9mm, a gun she hadn't touched in over a year until a couple of days before this match. If she keeps improving at this rate, TLynn has predicted that she will be shooting at nationals within 3 years..........I believe it! Enjoy this video!

I love seeing young people, especially young ladies, getting into the shooting sports. Tell her to keep up the great shooting and we will look for her picture in the Tactical Journal in the near future!!!!!! :thumbs2:

She takes dance on Saturdays. In addition to shooting she's a heck of a dancer. Hopefully when the dance lessons stop for the summer, she'll be able to make it to PSC for the match!

I can tell from the video that her ankle will be a little sore by the 4th Saturday this month and dancing on it will be very very dangerous. However, shooting an IDPA match will be therapeutic and will have her in great shape for dancing the next Saturday. Trust me, I'm a lawyer!

I remember about 2 years ago when she cleaned the Texas Star on CHL Forum Day at PSC.

The peanut gallery roared with applause and I did a little "happy dance".
