UPDATED: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
OK, looking to buy a new holster for my G26 and want to get opinions from those that have these holsters. I saw CCReyder's review on the two on Youtube, and that was good, but want everyone's input to help me decide. :-)

No Velcro?
Sorry, I'm a Comp-Tac Velcro sewn in the belt V-clips guy
I have all the clips
Not a big fan of C-clips myself, only because they are tougher to get my belt through BUT
Solution:
I made the Comp-tac C-clip into a J-clip ... never wore them yet,... still use my Velcro clips
Honestly, with 2 hybrid holsters I own, for the last year I daily wear a Desantis tuck this 2 with my Glock 26
I put the velcro on the part of the J clip that goes under the Comp-tac belt with Velcro; spare mag is a Glock 17 mag which helps hold proper cant/position because the mag base plate rests on top of my pants seam at the belt line
I WOULD say standard clips ... but I don't like any clip showing over a belt at all Soooo ... I abstain.

I would second the velcro. I use the V-clips with a Crossbreed belt that has the velcro lining and it works wonderfully. Nothing is visible when I have my shirt tucked.
Re: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
Voted for Comp Tac with standard clips but you really cannot go wrong with either brand. Both work very well with all my Glocks. Only strong feeling I have is I do prefer Comp Tac's standard 1.5-inch black clips to anything else from either company. Best combination of concealment (they're small enough most don't notice them) and retention (velcro clips, j-clips, c-clips ... none work well for me ... as with most things, personal preference). I've actually put Comp Tac 1.5-inch standard black clips on my two Crossbreed holsters I like them so much better.
Only other major differences:
1. Crossbreed does offer horsehide for better moisture barrier in hot Texas summer (but it's a Glock, won't rust anyway, so who cares?).
2. I also like Crossbreed's rough-side leather toward the body. The smooth-sided rivets holding the kydex to the leather don't bother me at all, and the T-nuts are far enough down on the holster that I don't feel them against my skin (below underwear line ... DANGER!!! TMI
). The M-TAC's double-layer of leather is kinda pointless as far as comfort (I actually don't like the way the smooth-side leather feels against my skin - too sticky) but it does cover the big protruding piece of kydex integral to the design (so I guess there is some basis in comfort). Haven't tried the single-layer M-TAC leather backing yet, but the way the kydex is position through the back side of the leather I'd be concerned about it digging into your skin with the single-layer version.
3. The overall shape of the leather is much better on the M-TAC. Because the height/ride adjustment holes are on the clips instead of the leather, the M-TAC doesn't need as much leather at the bottom. With the Crossbreed, the extra leather south of the bottom of the kydex shell can pinch your thighs a bit when you sit depending on where/how you position it. This difference int he shape of the leather makes the M-TAC "feel" a bit smaller than the Crossbreed overall - though if you measure both side-to-side they're very similar.
4. Comp Tac's design also does offer easier tension adjustment via the two screws near the trigger guard. With Crossbreed, you have to heat up and reshape/mold the kydex. I've never felt the need to do so, and setting the Comp Tac's tension just right the first time was an extra step I DIDN'T need to do on Crossbreed. But if you like being able to fine-tune your tension, Comp Tac is the one for you.

Crossbreed does the trick for me. I'm a fan of their standard clips, but its personal preference i suppose.

I updated the poll to allow you to vote on the velcro clips for either brand, so those that like those clips have that choice.
Unfortunately it wiped out the previous poll answers, so everyone must re-vote.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck with one J-hook and one standard clip. It works great even concealing a large pistol.
I have one Comp-Tac holster. It is a finely made piece of equipment, but it's not a concealment rig, so I don't know how they compare in concealment, and can only say they make good stuff.

Re: UPDATED: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
I have both and both are good choices. But picking at the nits, here are some pro's and con's
CBST
- I like the leather backing a little better, It conforms to my body better. It is easier for me to put on, and it is slightly more comfortable.
- The kydex is much thinner in the CBST than the Comp-Tac Minotaur. There are persistent reports in gun forums of the CBST cracking right above the ejection port. My current CBST is cracked as well.
- The metal clips noticeably scuff and mark up my belts. I know some people have gotten out a stone and deburred the inside of the belt clips.
- The CBST has a lifetime warranty.
Comp-Tac Minotaur
- The kydex body is noticeably more solid and strong. It also covers far more of the gun.
- The 1 1/2" clips can be a tight fit on some 1 1/2 in belts. I have one friend whose clips can slip off the belt.
- I like the plastic clips better because they do not mark up my belts.
- Noticeably more care and workmanship in the leather backing.
- Only a two year warranty.
I got some holsters out and measured with calipers. Kydex thickness is:
Crossbreed Supertuck = 0.066 in.
Comp-Tac Minotaur = 0.093 in
Fobus OWB holster = 0.096 in.
I included the Fobus because many people have seen them and know how thick and solid they are.
FWIW, I have switched to using the Comp-Tac Minotaur for EDC.

Re: UPDATED: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
I have both and both are very good holsters but overall the CBST edges out in front for comfort.
CBST:
Pros: Horse hyde is very comfortable against skin. I wear my undershirt between holster and outershirt to help reduce printing.
Very thin, one piece backing and thin kydex add to comfort.
Design allows more holes to be punched to change cant beyond factory holes, I steepened my cant.
Single piece leather allows you to trim leather if you want a combat cut or semi combat cut.
exposed rivits are flush and do not bother me
Life time warrenty
Cons:
Thin kydex shell more prone to cracking
Standard metal clips mar my belt and anything they rub against.
not as pretty
MTAC
Pros: Thicker kydex shell less prone to cracking
MTAC clips are sturdy plastic, wont mar
shells are interchangable if you change carry gun. Buying shell is cheaper than whole new holster, although it takes time to change so changing routinly is not practical.
better looking
Cons:
Outer lining is not comfortable against skin (sticky)
Thicker backer and kydex means more room in pants needed.
Combat cut only, May ease draw but may not be comfortable depending on your build.
Can not modify because of stiching
Velcro: Since I have two holsters(my wife decided IWB was not the carry option for her) I have Std. clips on my CBST and Velcro clips on my MTAC so I dont have to switch back and forth depending on dress. I have a crossbrees 11/2 belt with velcro and a Looper law Enforcment 11/4 belt with velcro( The Looper 11/4 makes a nice dress belt). I found that over time the Fuzzy side of the velcro( I cant remember if this is called the hook or loop) loses its holding power after repeatly pulling on and off. On my next belt I am going to request the plastic side of the velcro be sewen into the belt since I can replace the velcro on the clips easier or buy new clips cheaper.
Overall I like the CBST with the MTAC clips on it.

Re: UPDATED: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
OK, so I bit the bullet and bought the Crossbreed SuperTuck for my G26. I ordered it through Midway USA since they had them in stock for same list price (even though I didn't get a 10% NRA discount from Crossbreed), but Crossbreed direct was a minimum of 6 weeks for shipping.
And, I was impatient.
I did order a set of Velcro clips from Crossbreed as Midway didn't have those. They have yet to arrive, but the holster arrived yesterday and expect the clips to arrive today.
Anyway, I wore it for the first time last night. I first tried it with Dockers and a tucked polo shirt. My wife couldn't tell where I was carrying, so that is a good start. I then wore it with jeans, a t-shirt and an untucked shirt over that for the rest of the evening. The only issue I see is I may need to adjust it to ride a little deeper and possibly adjust the cant a little. It was definitely noticeable as it pressed on the hip bone quite a bit. I am sure part of that is normal break-in too, since the leather is new and stiffer. But, from an overall evaluation, even before getting it adjusted and broken in, I am very impressed with this holster. If it meets my expectations (and I think it is going to), there may be a subsequent order for a MiniTuck for the PM9 in my near future.

Re: UPDATED: Crossbreed SuperTuck vs Comp-Tac MTAC Poll
yes there is a bit of a break-in adjustment period with CBST, especially the horsehide model. but once you get it formed to your body it's extremely comfortable.
Also - I haven't done this yet - but after getting ride height and cant set where I want them, I've considered trimming off some of the excess leather under the front clip. I put my rear clip in the second hole from bottom and front clip in third hole and doubt I'll ever use the bottom hole in front, so trimming off that bit of leather around and below the bottom hole would keep that portion of leather from occassionally digging into my hip.

Did you go with the cow or horse hide?Keith B wrote:OK, so I bit the bullet and bought the Crossbreed SuperTuck for my G26.
I'm sure that you will find it to ride comfortably in no time. I just made a trip down to Houston and wore it almost the whole time. I really don't notice it anymore, even in the car for 4 hours.

This is the setting that I carry with now

It rides this high on the hip

relatively tight fitting t-shirt with supertuck underneath

simulating a reach down to grab something. You can see just a little bit of the grip, but not enough to tell what is under there. Most people would never even notice anyway.

I just got the cowhide. I don't usually sweat that much around the torso, so didn't feel the need for the horsehide.
