Background Check
How do you know if they've started the background check? I've already paid for class,fingerprinting, license, etc. I've completed everything except taking/passing the class/test, I'm scheduled for the class 07/30/2011. Thanks.

I don't think they start until you send everything in.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I think they start working on the background check after your application is complete, including class.

It seems that they are going pretty quick these days, depending on your background. My wife's was done in 3 days. Mine has been under review for a little over a week now.

Alright, many thanks. I hope the agent assigned to investigate my background doesn't fall asleep. I've had a pretty boring life!
