My favorite eateries cut uniformed LEOs some slack when it comes to paying the check. With what little disposable income we still have thats budgeted for outside meals, places like that get a disproportinate chunk.
Its just another way to 'pay it fwd'.
I do feel comfy with a couple or three DPD vehicles in the parking lot.
Back a couple of decades, pre cell 'phones', when we could occasionally talk with LEOs via radio, they were a reassuring presence. They still are.
