Looking for a tuckable IWB or shoulder holster.

It is for my Springer 1911 SS 5". For the IWB I need the Kydex to be lined with leather on the inside.

I wear a lot of western shirts in the winter and need a good holster that I can tuck the shirts around or a good shoulder holster that I can wear under the shirts.

I don't know if they still do or not, but Sparks used to offer some belt clips to make one of their iwb holsters tuckable. That said, it is tough on a full size to go tuckable. Another option would be a belly band.

I appreciate the suggestion but I am not a fan of the Belly Band. Especially with a full size 1911. I have a Galco Summer Comfort for it so I know I can wear it comfortably IWB but need a holster that I can tuck the shirt around or a good shoulder rig to wear underneath the shirt.

Think I am going to go with a MTAC or the Galco KINGTUK. I like the idea of a shoulder rig but the IWB will allow me to be more versatile in my clothing.

Only have experience with Crossbreed Supertuck and is is outstanding. I carry full sized Glock comfortably for hours at a time.

These are a bit more expensive, but I love mine. Has the leather line kydex and I have absolutely no wear marks on my M&P from holstering. Been wearing this one all day everyday since around Jan or Feb.

For the price, I went with a Tommy Theis tuckable IWB holster... and have been very satisfied. Even with the horsehide upgrade, it was cheaper than the similar models available.

Comp-Tac MTAC is the way to go if you are wanting a kydex shell with a leather back. I have one and I like it better than the custom leather rig I have for my USP .40 compact. You can also buy spare kydex bodies to fit other guns rather than having to buy a holster for each. Turn around time was 2 days when i checked earlier.

I would second the Comp-Tac comment... They make a great product. I ordered one after the suggestions of this forum. I went with the Minotaur, because it is a little cheaper and a little thinner than the M-Tac. It is based on the same system but isn't trimmed out quite as nice. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a IWB holster.

Sorry - I misspoke. I have the Minotaur Spartan. It doesn't look quite as nice but is just as functional as M-TAC. Also, like I said in the above post, it is a little thinner due to the fact that it only has one piece of leather. It may not make much of a difference in most cases, but it might in a few situations.
