SOLD: S&W 66-1 BUT SPEEDLOADERS ETC STILL AVAILABLE

Post by A-R »

SOLD THE GUN, HOLSTERS, GRIPS

BUT THE SPEED LOADERS AND SPEED LOADER HOLSTERS ARE STILL AVAILABLE

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=47984" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm selling a beautiful Smith & Wesson 66-1 K-frame .357 Magnum stainless steel revolver with a lot of extras. The 4-inch barrel is pinned and the cylinder is recessed (can use moon clips).

Only selling because I finally found a model 66 pinned and recessed with 2.5-inch barrel and don't need both.

This gun is in great shape. Mirror shine bore. I put a few hundred rounds through it and shot it in one IDPA match - deciding I'd prefer to stick to bottom feeders for competition.

For full price will include:

1 set of Hogue rubber grips in addition to the original S&W thin wood grips
2 black leather holsters (one is a pancake style with retention thumb strap; one is a police duty holster
4 Safariland Comp-3 speed loaders (these are $20 each at MidwayUSA.com = $80 + shipping)
4 Blade Tech speed loader belt holsters (these are $25 each at MidwaUSA.com = $100 + shipping)

That's well over $200 worth of extras.

$650 for the whole package
$550 for the gun, both grips, and both holsters
$500 for the gun and one set of grips only

Cash FTF around Austin area (I'm in Cedar Park, about 25 miles north of downtown Austin) - may be willing to meet farther for the whole package deal

Prefer cash right now, but could be convinced to trade for a nice Commader-length 1911

sure is a tempting offer! I'd be all over it, but my better half has respectfully requested that I quit buying guns for now. At least until we find HER next new gun!

nice gun and a good price for all that gear. Sincerely wish I was in the market right now.

Thanks, but there are others here who post some great pics as well - doc540 comes immediately to mind.

for the camera savvy ... these three pics were taken with a Bogen-tripod mounted Nikon D200 connected to a Nikkor 18-200mm zoom lens and an SB-800 flash, with flash head diffuser in place and head tilted to 45-degree angle. Settings: Aperture priority f8, +0.7 camera exposure compensation, +0.3 flash compensation .... background is our fiberglass bathtub (notice the quarter size "dimples" in the white just below the subjects in the pics) with additional light provided by a 4-foot-by-4-foot glass brick window facing into the morning sun. Standard Photoshop enhancements - mild adjusting of levels and some unsharp mask

A-R--
Nice revolver and pics. If there weren't already a few K-frames around here, I'd be tempted.

Show this to your wife, she may like it as much as my wife likes her 66-3.

Do you have a pic of the cylinder face face showing the recessed cut for moon clips? Or direct me to the site for who did the work? Thanks!

I must be too, because I was wondering what gear he used to make pics and I was glad to see he posted it.

I'd love to get the Smith, but I spent too much on camera gear this week.

I'm interested if the price is right, what do you want for the speedloaders and holsters?
