It doesn't want to play past 11 sec for me, maybe I will have to try it on my computer instead of my phone. I find that show interesting sometimes, I thought it was funny when they tried to make a gun powder propelled knife.

I was an avid viewer until we cut off all subscription based tv. Big 4 only tv viewing is tough on me fellas!

I watched it once and ONCE ONLY.
It was the Thompson change to full auto for some Sheriff.
They really hacked up a perfectly good Thompson. That was it for me.

I have many issues with the show. Mostly that they have lame ideas, are complete hacks and at times ruin beautiful vintage guns.

Yeah, that stuff kinda bugs me a bit, but if you treat it as entertainment rather than education, it gets a lot better.

What does bother me is when the sherif or whoever that was decides to switch their department from Remington 870s over to Saiga 12s on the basis of one test-fire. I'm not sure why that bothers me, since I'm violating my own rules and thinking of it as really representing the firearm selection process for police departments.

I'm also not sure where they think they're going to be getting all those Saiga 12s from, since they can't be imported anymore.

Now that you mention it, they do have a tendency to focus only on established shooters while the people who want their first firearm for home protection are practically shamed out of the store.

The show might be doing more damage to the firearm culture than help... Everyone was a new shooter at some time, and they seem to forget that.

They ran me off the place when I stopped by. I was passing through baton rouge. Didn't even get to peek inside. Not a huge fan of the show just stopped out of curiosity...

I do agree that the guy acts like a fool most of the time, but you see that a lot with gun shop guys. If they're such know it all's why can't they practice good muzzle discipline like the rest of us peons? Especially on national TV!
