FS: S&W 1911 (Austin)

Post by j1132s »

This is a basic S&W 1911 pistol that I purchased new 6 months ago. I have experienced zero failures. It has a total of 150 factory rounds thru it.

This pistol comes with
- original box and papers,
- 4 8-round magazines (2 factory, 2 after market),
- Pachmayr grip,
- original rubber grip,
- Blackhawk CQC holster (not serpa) w/ paddle attachment, and
- the fired case/lock/etc. that came w/ it.

Here are all the issues I know of:

1. It shoots high and to the right for me. I don't have a machine rest and I don't have enough confidence in my shooting skills to call S&W regarding this issue.

2. The Pachmayr grips are takeoffs from another pistol that I have, so it is older than this pistol. It has a crack above the top right screw but completely usable. (See photo)

3. The original rubber grips' lower edge is trimmed for mag well. It is not noticable if you don't use a mag well. (See photo)

I would like $700 for the package.
I am open to trade for a S&W model 41 .22LR in like new condition.

Kalrog, I hope you are ok and the surgery went smoothly.
The Marshal, thanks for getting my pics right.

I'd like to add the following to the trade options:

Kimber .22LR hunter, classic, or HS rifles in like new condition.
Also, I'm definitely open to adding money into any trade that needs it.

Also, I'll call S&W to get a shipping label for the buyer. I have dealt with S&W customer service department w/ my Walther before and they are very nice and friendly; S&W also provides free 2way next day shipment.

If a trade is agreed, I'm welling to meet you half way within 1.5hrs of Austin so that we can personally examine the guns.

thanks for your interest.

This pistol is still available.

I wasn't able to find a machine rest, so I've just called S&W today and they are sending me a prepaid shipping label to send it back to check it out. I can give the shipping label for buyer or we can work something out if you'd like me to send it in.

This is a spare 1911 that I almost never shoot (it is in mint condition), it is bought as a backup for another S&W 1911 that I use for competitions. The accessories included (holster, extra grip, etc.) are used and taken off from the competition gun.

I am open to trades. I'm intersted in the following in .22LR --
1. CZ 452 silhoutte, lux, or American
2. Remington 504
3. Kimber hunter

Also interested in --
4. Glock 34
