PETA stickers received in the mail - here's mine

Post by johncanfield »

PETA recently sent my wife (waiting on her CHL) a solicitation for money and thoughtfully included address labels and a couple of PETA stickers to make you feel obliging. Dear wife cut the PETA info from the address labels and is using them and I now have a PETA sticker on the butt of my Ruger Hawkeye rifle (.270 Win.) I couldn't help myself :smash: .

Speaking of PETA, I still haven't taken a deer this season  . Twice now I've seen an axis deer at my tube feeder in front of the house (as recently as lunchtime today) and my rifle was a few hundred feet away in the shop. The rifle is now at the ready in the house. Mmmmmm.. axis deer.. people eating tasty animals..

Don't forget to include the formerly snickering deer.

Couldn't you rig it to come out the barrel on a stick when you pull the trigger?

I'd say that a .270 is ethical treatment for most animals. Only one treatment, and you're done!

Considering PETA is one of the largest "domestic terrorist" groups on the continent, I wouldn't send them anything.... they don't play fair and have lots of lawyers to cover their filth. JMPHO, but my heart feels for that purdy rifle. ;-)

Yeah, I won't leave the sticker on there, but it was fun when I thought about the irony. I think most hunters respect and want to be good stewards of wildlife and that certainly describes me. They don't (apparently) understand that part of wildlife management involves harvesting animals since natural predation can't do it in most areas. When I shoot a deer, it goes in the freezer - yum - peta. I also shoot pigs whenever possible - I suppose they wouldn't like that either.
