I have no clue how much I saved. I bought the rifle as it was and did not expect to do anything to it. When I bought my rifle some other guy was in there and got the exact same thing. He had placed his order for the stock 7 months prior (they are pretty back logged). He took it all home built from the store UNTIL his wife found out how much he spent for everything. I went in the next day on a wim to pick up some uniforms as I was workign EMS at the time and the guy's wife literally told him to take all the stuff back he bought "or else" He put it on consignment, I offered him $300 for the stock and he took it. After that I got my optics and mounts all seperately through online retailers and just took it from there. There is really not much to building it since the stock SHOULD come in one piece. Ummmmm what else..... Oh yeh, if you buy this stock you better be prepared to take some time field stripping this thing each time you wanna clean it. It takes A WHILE to get it down and the fit is VERY tight on the barrel so just beware. All in all it is a great gun, but heavy as you know what. It is IMO not your run of the mill CQB rifle but that is what I like about it. Plus, .308 > .2234t5 wrote:I assume that you got the stock from Fulton Armory, right? Does the stock feel solid? How much money did you save by putting it together yourself vs. buing one already done from Fulton? I'm probably going to have to have one of these soon!
