I don't think he was a troll. I think he probably got ticked off at the number of people who were questioning his account of the situation.

It seems like it is a real tough getting a weapon back after they have taken it away from you. All the expense falls on the person who had the weapon taken and sometimes that expense is more than the value of the gun! It isn't right at all! It is also why I don't carry my "BBQ guns" as a concealed weapon choice. I would cry like a baby if the police took my kimber away.

The last 2 posts he made on this thread was accusing everyone of being racist. He either completely misunderstood when people said there had to be more to it and assumed they were talking about his race or possibly, he was from one of the anti-gun forums and having... "some fun whit da gun nuts". In this day and age I would be surprised if it was the first option but crazier things have happened. Either way, he came off like he was offended in his last post.

Next time I post I will check with speed six to make sure no one could be ofended in an OPEN FORUM. To close to home?

No doubt he didn't handle it right, but his story matches what I am hearing in some places so wouldn't automatically discount. maybe he went to the bathroom when they were teaching "non-violent dispute resolution"

I wasn't necessarily disputing you wgoforth. Sorry if it came off that way. I was just pointing out that maybe we shouldn't feel like we caused him to leave.

Oh sorry, no. I didn't think you were talking about me at all, just the situation in general, not a problem hermano. In fact I was riding in on yours cautioning the list in general that maybe we should hear someone out before questioning motives. Usually, someones fruit eventually shows.

I think this is likely.
Whether or not there was more to the story, he was offended. I think sometimes we forget that there is a lot of room for misinterpretation in the written word. One person says they think there must be more to the story than the OP is letting in, and suddenly 3 or 4 more people chime in with the same thing. Next thing you know, about half of the posts on the first page have said essentially the same thing. To a new member, it can look an awful lot like an attack. It is quite likely that he won't come back because of this.
