Well, the hinge pin for my AR's dust cover slid all the way to the forward assist. There was no danger of losing the pin or dust cover just the annoyance of having to push it back into place. I looked for a snap ring online and found it at Midway for $1.99 looking at the pic of the part I decided to see if my helpful hardware man would have one. I found a pack of two 5/32" "E" rings for $0.47. The "E" ring snapped into place like it was made for the job. My hinge pin won't be moving back under recoil any more. And! I have a spare!! :thumbs2:

Awesome. It's always fun to find ways around specialized parts, especially when you find the same part at a different sort of outlet.
