Just saw a report on the news about a husband who shot his wife (an employee at the hospital) and injured an innocent man (who was visiting a patient) in front of the ETMC Hospital in Tyler, TX. The wife is in critical condition at the momemt and a man (who was from Alto) was wounded in the ankle, an innocent bystander. The police said the shooter, a disgruntled husband used a .380 auto and shot his wife multiple times at close range. It is thought a stray round hit the innocent man.
The Shooter was taken into custody without incident, he had dumped the gun in a flowerpot before the cops got there.
Supposedly, the man was upset because his wife was going to leave him.
Tyler seems to be a hot-spot for public shootings, remember the courthouse shooting last year??
All the more reason to carry concealed!!!

I guess that will change her mind, eh?Ranger+P+ wrote:Supposedly, the man was upset because his wife was going to leave him.

Can anyone explain that mentality, of "I'm going to beat you until you love me?"

No. It's completely twisted.KBCraig wrote:Can anyone explain that mentality, of "I'm going to beat you until you love me?"
I remember years ago, a guy beat his wife to death. A TV reporter got an interview with him. He explained that she let his peas touch his mashed potatoes on his plate or something like that (I don't remember exactly) and "I just couldn't put up with that." He seemed to think it was perfectly reasonable to beat his wife to death because of the way she served dinner.

It usually seems to be more of an "If I can't have you, nobody can" mentality.KBCraig wrote:I guess that will change her mind, eh?Ranger+P+ wrote:Supposedly, the man was upset because his wife was going to leave him.![]()

Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
