I believe it was St. Francis of Assissi that said, "Tell people about Christ everywhere you go. When necessary, use words."
I try to do that in my life. I'm constantly missing the mark, but desire that people would see Christ in me, and desire Him in their own lives.

I take the same approach to my RKBA beliefs. I try to discuss it from the perspective of an educated and sane person. A person's actions/behaviors speak volumes more than words could ever.
"If a man breaks in your house, he ain't there for iced tea." Mom & Dad.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I have "converted" a couple, including my nominally anti wife, who fired a perfect score on her CHL requal. Her reaction the first time she saw my gun cabinet was "I don't know if I can live in a house with guns in it."

I try to reason with whomever, the office manager at the job I was just laid off from was well on her way to conversion when I left, although I am not sure she didn't expect me to come back and start shooting the place up last Friday when I was let go.

I try not to get strident, and to listen carefully to their concerns, and not denigrate their opinions and feelings (particularly feelings) while letting them know how and why I disagree.

and I often hand them a paper copy of Finn Aagaard's manifesto. http://www.seark.net/~jlove/essay3.htm

True "anti's" in my book are at the bottom of the food chain and not worth my time. I learned from working in academia that some people have made up their minds and there simply is no point in confusing them with the facts. You should never argue with a fool…People may not know the difference.

Other than that, I live my life. Some people have a passion for golf, art, music or cars. I have a passion for shooting and I make no apologies for it. I do work hard at being a friendly and accurate source of information rather than spouting off something I’ve heard but haven’t verified. Having said that, I obviously don’t know everything and I’m not afraid to admit it. When people ask questions to which I have no answer, I tell them as much but offer to find the answer or tell them where to get the answer.

Perhaps my one fault is that I will butt into conversations where I hear an ignorant gun owner adding to another person’s ignorance. This includes the classic “advice about dragging a body into the house after shooting a burglar or proof of “stopping/knockdown power through things like the mythical Strausburg Goat Tests. I see no point in letting Ray Charles give Stevie Wonder driving lessons, particularly when it comes to guns.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

Most people are just ignorant and ill informed. When I said police have no duty nor responsibility to protect us, a whole room of people said "bull!"
Please help the wounded store owner who fought off 3 robbers. He doesn't have medical insurance.

A true anti (Fienstien,Pelosi,Kennedy,Clinton types) cannot be reformed. So they can only be debated.

The mis-informed anti's are the ones we need to educate and onvert.

The cops, for the most part, can't even protect THEMSELVES.

A recent FBI Behavioral Science Unit report shows that gun laws don't prevent officers from being killed in the line of duty, and in fact, the average potential cop-killer has more experience and practice with weapons than the officer they target.
