Bachmans Pawn and Gun (Dallas)?

Post by texas297 »

Anyone ever have any dealings with them?

They had a stack of Mossberg 12ga "Tactical" shotguns this weekend at the Fort Worth Gun Show. Sweet, sweet shotgun. 18" barrell, flash suppressor, collapsible stock. Not a very practical gun but something like I've always wanted.

After talking myself out of it this weekend the wife is telling me to go get it. Being in Fort Worth and not Dallas I call them and they give me the line of "we've only got 2 left and they are going fast. If you want one you need to get here fast. " To me that sounds like a typical sells pitch.

So what do you all think??

Thanks
David

I have bought from them several times without problem.

They and Schramm's(sp) usually have the best prices at the George R. Brown shows.

In my experience, the gunshow price is not honored in the Store (Bachmanns).
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I bought my P97 from them several years ago; outstanding selection and prices, even in the store.

They're a volume dealer. I wouldn't be surprised if "they're going fast" meant exactly that.

"volume dealer" is right on. They sometimes sell new guns for less than small-time FFLs came buy 'em.

You're right. When I called I did ask that and the shotgun I want is about $20.00 more.

I have found that Bachman's prices are hard to beat at the guns shows. I have bought a couple of firearms from them, but never been to their store.

The GunShow side of them is a separate business.

I bought the SG you are looking at for my FIL a few months back.
They had the best price at the Mesquite show, which is this weekend again.

I spent way too much with those guys. I just keep buying from them.
Please help the wounded store owner who fought off 3 robbers. He doesn't have medical insurance.

:iagree: A while back they had a lot of S&W 65's in 3 inch. They only had 3 in the show case and they all three looked about 85%. When a friend of mine told them he knew they had bought about 40 of these the guy went to the back on brought out 2 more that was ever bit of 96% for the same price.
