TERRELL, Texas -- Police are searching for two missing North Texas females after a family friend received a cell phone message from one of the women screaming for help.

Investigators said Bryshada Ward, 17, and Sasha Abney, 20, were last seen Saturday night in Terrell. They were headed to Mesquite to see a movie.

A family friend received a cell phone message at about 4 a.m. Sunday from one of the missing women as they screamed for help.

The women were driving a 2004 gray Dodge Neon with Texas license plate number X31-NVL.

Ward is described as a black girl, 110 pounds, 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a slender build and brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing black shorts, a black sleeveless blouse and black knee-high boots with zippers.

Abney is described as a black woman, 130 pounds, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slender build and black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a yellow-and-white baby doll top, blue jeans and beige boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Ken McKeown at 972-551-6622, extension 231.

They been found.

http://www.nbc5i.com/news/11311674/detail.html

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Two North Texas women that had been missing since Saturday night were found alive outside of Austin, their family members said.

Police said Bryshada Ward, 17, and Sasha Abney, 20, showed up at a gas station in Lampasas County Tuesday night and asked a convenience store clerk for help.

The women said they were kidnapped by a man outside of a movie theater in Mesquite. A family friend received a cell phone message at about 4 a.m. Sunday from one of the missing women as they screamed for help.

The women were taken to a hospital to be evaluated by medical personnel, police said.

So far, there is no information on the women's alleged kidnapper.

It's funny, after "They been found." was posted, I almost left a post stating that it kind of felt like a "Tawana Brawley" to me, but decided not to because it might be viewed as somewhat insensitive, racially and other wise, and now it appears to be just exactly so.

BTW While watching a live news sotry on the subjects the night they were found Ch 8 (ABC here in FTW-Dal) was interviewing a Terrell officer in front of what I believe was the Terrell Police Department. Well behind the officer, over his right shoulder I could make out what appeared to be signage that stated one could not carry concealed in their building.

Terrell is a little far for me to check it out but if someone here is close by they ought to go by and see. If it's verified I'd be glad to write the Chief a letter saying that the signs are illegal.

If it was the Terrell PD they do not have to have any sign. They are a prohibited place by law. Cant carry in a LEO building.

Are you sure?

PC §46.035 doesn't mention LEO buildings, only "premises of a correctional facility". Our building has a jail not a "correctional facility" and thus being a government bulding we had to remove our signage shortly after it was put up. This was just a couple of years ago.

Sure you can, Plano PD even took down their (non-compliant) signs as soon as the law was passed. I'll bet that either Terrell PD decided that they don't need to comply, the city decided they couldn't afford to take them down, or that building houses a court.

Even if the signs are up, there is nothing illegal about them. If there is no court or office of the court in the building, the signs are not enforceable, thats all.

That's my bad. It was a bad choice of words.
