Hi guys,
Dad just bought a SWEET Remington R-15 VTR SS the other day. I can't find a definitive answer for him as to whether or not it's chambered in .223, or a hybrid chamber. He's planning on shooting .223 in the field, but for plinkers I'm not sure what to tell him. Any advice is appreciated!

Re: R-15 Chambering
Should say somewhere on the barrel...It is either a 223 or a 204.
Re: R-15 Chambering
I think he's asking if it's .223, 5.56, or one of the hybrid chambers - like Wylde etc.
I agree, check on the barrel where the proper chamber should be indicated (up front, between gas block and end of barrel/flash hider)

And that is the answer I gave. It is either 223 Rem or 204 Ruger, not 5.56/223 or 223 Wylde.A-R wrote:I think he's asking if it's .223, 5.56, or one of the hybrid chambers - like Wylde etc.

When in doubt shoot .223 or, have a gunsmith check the chamber.
eta: Remington's online catalog says it's .223.

Just got pics from the range. 5 shots, last 3 were sub- MOA. Whatever he's shooting it works.
