I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: Am I paranoid?
I doubt that there would be many rioters left if confronted by Predator.
Nice thought though.

Re: Am I paranoid?
Hmmm . . . if violent rioters and looters start to spill out of their own areas, might we see an impromptu Texas Appleseed event?

I won't be home for the election (assuming all continues to go well) but my mom and stepdad are well armed with all my stuff.
If I was home, I'd probably be out camping somewhere in the sticks just to get away from politics. Honestly, I don't think anything is going to happen if either candidate is elected though.

Re: Am I paranoid?
As much as I'm praying for a Romney win, I just don't see it happening. The left will do anything to win and that includes cheating; we've see evidence of that already (absentee ballots not being sent to Armed Forces currently fighting).
I've looked at the Electoral College Map and I don't see how Romney can pull off a win:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... e_map.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you look at the map in the above link (I can't believe Texas isn't listed as solid Romney) add up all the Electoral votes for Romney and speculate on what he'll win out of the toss up states, I just don't see how he'll get to 270.
However, if there is a Romney victory I firmly believe there will be riots especially in the large liberal cities. And since I live in the Houston area, I'm staying at home after the election just to be safe. Call it paranoia as well, but I'm protecting my family for a worse case scenario.

I've read about threats being made on Twitter etc, and assume the media will fan those flames as election day gets closer, but I was wondering if anyone else is considering changing plans or staying closer to home in anticipation? Don't usually consider myself paranoid, but this is the first time I can remember ever envisioning the need to go into lockdown mode and I live in Podunk rural Texas, LOL.
I think it speaks volumes that there is no talk of riots in the unlikely event Obama is reelected.

Re: Am I paranoid?
Which is funny, considering the ultimate outcome of an Obama win could potentially cause economic collapse and riots of a different type will then ensue: but for reasons of a more legitimate kind. Like the need for food and water, lol.Topbuilder wrote:I think it speaks volumes that there is no talk of riots in the unlikely event Obama is reelected.

I think it's ironic that the liberals wanna riot. They also want to take firearms away. Is that so we can't stop their riot?

Re: Am I paranoid?
Liberals are basically looters - if they don't have "their guy" in the Oval Office to do their looting for them via "redistribution" they'll do it themselves. AND . . . they'd rather you not have the means to stop them.ajwakeboarder wrote:I think it's ironic that the liberals wanna riot. They also want to take firearms away. Re: Am I paranoid?
It's all looting. The main difference is the scale.
