Interested in comments on the .40 platform or just gun specific?

I edc a m&p 40c and it is likely the best OVER ALL pistol i've ever owned.sure there are prettier, lighter, insert emplanitive; but when I want to count on something to cowboy-up when a problem arises, I ABSOLUTELY know I can count on it. For this reason, it is the most beautiful weapon I have ever known.

I can say that I honestly agree with you on that. I ran my firearm through several aggressive drills and was quite impressed. I also like the new trigger that I got installed from APEX. So yeah, it is a great firearm.

I liked mine, but did not love it. I traded it for a full sized Glock 21. Just a matter of personal preference. I too carry a full sized IWB everywhere I can without being fired.

Not had much need for the .40 other than my G27 back in 1996 (I was young and naive to the CCW scene and figured I needed something small to be concealable, doh!). My M&P's are either 9mm full-sized or .45 full-sized guns. From what I understand though, the M&P was designed around the .40 S&W originally then "downgraded" to the 9mm so they should be much more durable than the Glock which started as a 9mm (G17) then "upgraded" to the .40 S&W (G22).

I have the full-size .40 M&P. Carried it daily for some time. I then converted it to .357 SIG by changing the barrel. I am a big fan of it, especially after adding the Apex duty/carry modification that improves the trigger reset and takes away the "grit" some people experience in the trigger.
