How to Carry Long Guns on a Harley???

Post by hankintexas »

I am thinking of mounting a Rifle Scabbord on the front of my Harley Road King. This way I can combine 2 hobbies at the same time....., Riding to the range and Shooting. Anyone out there have an idea where to start looking for such a device? My saddle bags are large enough to carry my hand guns, ammo and extras.

Thanks

A 16" or 18" barrel AR upper will fit in my Road King bags. Just separate the lower and the upper, then assemble at the range.

Don't have a solution for ya if your rifle doesn't break down though.

Put it in the 55 gal drum of oil that it needs to keep from running dry.

In all seriousness, pop out the rear take down pin and fold it over with a 20rd mag in the well. Three step process to ready it, but should go quickly if needed. Stuff it in one of these ornate studded saddle bags.

You got a good answer for ARs. For lever guns, you can carry on an iron horse like they used to carry on a real horse.

OK, I don't think it is a Harley, but the concept is the same. ;-)

That's what I was going to suggest. Get a sling and strap it on.

Believe it or not..... I carry Guitars in my guitar bags! :biggrinjester: Great links, thanks. I think I know what I am getting, I just need to find it now. It is Military issue. I have to see if I can find an old pic of one. It is the one you can strap to the side of your Alice Pack

If you haven't found one yet, you should be able to get one at either Top Brass or Command Post.
