I never shot anything heavier than the 230's in it.

Just ask'n

They're not for ACP. They're for .45 colt.[/quote]

Well I should have left my original message the way it was, I first asked if they were for the 45 Colt, then erased it and wrote what I did. ( Second thoughts are almost never right )
There are people shooting heavier bullets in their 45 auto's. But I just have not tried it. 230gn is fine with me.

Have fun.

AndyC has been using some hard lube he likes.
Think it was the Carnauba Red lube.
I'm sure he will be along soon.

I still plan on ordering a supply of their lube, I just have not pulled the trigger yet ;-)

Don2

Ps...List of their other lubes. Only problem as far as I'm concerned is they do not take credit cards.
Minor problem........

I use the Magma Engineering lube for the Star Sizer. Can't help you, as it is a different shape than the Lyman-compatible lube sticks.

I know you guys know this, but you can always melt it and pour it into the Lyman/Rcbs lube sizers.....
I have not had to do it but understand its kinda common for the guys making their own lube.
I started making my own bullet lube, but had problems getting a supply of low priced bees wax. But the White Label lube is sooooo cheap and is good, there is no reason I can think of to make your own unless you just want to, or have cheap supplies.
I just still have a supply of RCBS lubes I got a long time back and still have a bunch of sticks left.

I hear the Magma stuff is good also. Never used it...WISH I HAD A STAR LUBE/SIZER..!!!!
My allowance is not that BIG ;-)
Shuck'N's

I saw a killer Star setup on YouTube, the guy was pumping the bullets out as fast as he could pull the handle...plus he had pressure lube feed system and a bullet feeder.
Cool...Some people have all the fun.

Think it was the Carnauba Red lube.
Hard Lube - Thompson's Blue Angel (needs heat)
Medium lube - White Label Lube's Carnauba Red (needs less heat)

Amusing image I found on Facebook for you fellers:
You Da-Man..!!!!

My wife is ordering 55 lbs of refined yellow bees wax for some lotions she makes, decided I'm gonna borrow some to try my hand at bullet lubes AGAIN.
This time I'll have the "Good Stuff" to work with..!!
YES...I have her permission to borrow some..!! :totap:

Plus she is ordering some pure Lanolin which I also will get some to make spray case lube along with some 99% Iso alcohol.
That should work.

Guess I'll get all my home brew stuff together so I can make some on my new bench tops to break them in..!!!
