Big Brother

Post by Rikk101 »

Below is a link to an artcle that was referenced on the Drudge Report. I have suspected for a long time that this could be happening. Your cable TV as well as your phone are now spying on you. :shock: :shock:

Verizon just guaranteed that I'll never upgrade any of my set top boxes.

:anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana
i dont have a set top box or dvr
so i guess i am safe
can you imagine
a top box hears you say
"president" and
"Kill" in the same few minutes...would the squad arrive to haul you off

what if the technology goes crazy and records your bedroom activities and posts them to an adult movie site :biggrinjester: :biggrinjester:

Its just the tip of the iceberg. Big Brother is already everywhere:

red light cameras, toll booth cameras, public surveillance cameras 'for your safety'

iphone tracking: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2383943,00.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

patriot act
nsa spying on US citizens: http://rt.com/usa/news/nsa-whistleblowe ... drake-978/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
csis spying on Canadian citizens: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/07/p ... ive-powers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

OnStar spying on you: http://news.discovery.com/autos/is-onst ... 10923.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
embedded GPS in digicams: http://www.hideyourselfonline.com/forum ... bedded-GPS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

skynet could be coming: http://news.discovery.com/space/do-robo ... 21201.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Big Insurance Brother offers financial incentive for you to spy on yourself:
http://www.bankrate.com/financing/cars/ ... r-driving/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.ecommercetimes.com/story/75600.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/comp ... y-concerns" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So you take your fancy Mercedes Hybrid in for a tum up and they plug it in to the diagnostic computer. While its checking all the sensors it uploads all the data from the black boxes in your car. The speed sensor shows you regularly exceed the speed limit - it send the data to your auto insurance provider and your rates go up. It sends the the same data to the Dept of Public Safety and Compliance and you get 15 speeding tickets.

It uploads the GPS data and notes that you go to the same fast food place and ice cream shop 4 times a week and that you never go to the gym down the street. It cross references the data with your spending habits database and notes you have never bought exercise equipment either, so it notiifies your medical insurance and your rates go up; then it makes an appointment with your doctor and signs you up with a personal trainer and uploads the appointment to your iPhone.

Finally, it installs a safety patch to your Windows 15 OS that your car runs on, so that the next time you attempt to drive to Big Bob's Burger Barn, it shuts the car off, disables it locks the doors and notifies the poiice of your location so they can arrest you for 15 unpaid speeding tickets.

The different systems don't talk to each other now, but the technology exists today that could make this happen.

I've a family member who buys into every conspiracy theory and now this...

No doubt now, he'll be waving a copy of this at me and spouting "I TOLD YOU SO" - man, it's gonna be painful.

Of all the conspiracies, wouldn't you know his favorite is: The T.V. is watching you and reporting everything that goes on in your home.
