Found a deal at GM!!!

Post by BoneDigger »

I have been perusing the used guns at the local Gander Mountain for a while, and I can never find a good deal. However, yesterday was an exception...

Smith and Wesson 686-2
Stainless
6 shot .357
2 inch barrel
custom wood grips (3 finger)
VERY good condition

Paid... $250!!!

I won't use this for a CCW as it's too heavy, but for hunting it should make a fine backup weapon. They had just put this gun in the case only an hour before, and I was lucky enough to snag it.

That is a great buy! I have a 686 no dash...love the gun, hate the front sight. I will invest the money in one that is a bit easier on the eye sometime in the future.

That looks like a great carry gun.....with some suspenders!

Holy moly! That is a smokin deal. Did they have any more?

Please put me first in line if you ever decide to sell it, I will make it worth your while. ;-)

You can't beat that deal at all.
Congrats on the good find.
I'll remember to keep my eyes peeled when in the box stores.

I'd have sure sprung for it. I'm looking for a decent revolver for my girl-child I'd sure like to have that GP-100 that LT has been showing off, too!

Good catch.

I have often seen this reference to "no dash" when refering to the 686. What does that mean? I have a S & W 686, 6" ported that I bought back in 2001 (I think) with no lawyer lock. Does the "no dash" mean 686's manufactured before the locks were added? :???:
Thanks.
