Melting Pots

Hi all, what do you recommend for a melting pot?

What am I missing if I I don't chose one with a pour spout and use ladle casting? Is there an advantage in having the ability to pour direct from the pot?

A pot with a spout is faster, some old time casters say a ladle makes better bullets. I've done them both ways and I use a pot with a spout. If you are going to use a ladle use the Lyman ladle with a spout on the side.

Thank you MoJo! That is what I was figuring. I have not decided if I want to mold or buy them in bulk to start off with. I'd love to dive head first in and do my own molding...
