New rig

Post by longtooth »

Vacation time & we were in Paul's Pawn Shop out of Texarkana after the shoot w/ KBCraig & I found a new carry rig for my Taurus 85 Ultra Lite. I have been looking for this a long time w/o having to order it.

With shirt tucked.

With shirt tail out.

Wasn't what you expected probably.
Finally found one Flint.
Got it adjusted & have worn it all afternoon. Real comfortable. Will be able to wear it w/o a coat as long as it is a snap shirt. May get Mom to put Velcro on a couple of button ones.

Looks like you have it adjusted just right LT.

That is so critical for the comfort and proper function of any shoulder rig.

Good score! Happy for ya.

That was the comment I was waiting on. It took about an hour of moving, putting the shirt on, going to the mirror, & then moving it again.
It is comfortable, & will get a lot of use. Thank you for teaching FRIEND.

So LT (and others), let me ask you...

I new (read my name) and have been wondering about these people who carry in shoulder holsters or similar means underneath their clothes. I see the ease of ripping into a peal snap shirt, but what about these folks with button down dress shirts and ties?

I didn't realize that shoulder holsters were that hard to work with having zero experience with them. I have been cosidering one however. Where is the best place to start?

Hey... I thought LT would be taller???

HAHA... Hey Neighbor!

FUNNY STORY about LT... First time we talked on the Phone we were talking about meeting up. I asked where he lived and come to find out he lives on the other end of the street in our Neighborhood. Small World.

I need to let you sling some lead in this XD... It makes be look like a Senior Marksman.

Congrats on the new rig, LT! I have to stay out of Paul's. Something I can't afford always follows me home.

It's a small world, isn't it? Once I was looking up old fraternity brothers. I was surprised to see one listed in my area, so I called him up and we talked about what had gone on in our lives in the 15 years since we'd last talked. After about 30 minutes I had to leave for work, so I finally asked him where he lived. Turns out he had lived three doors down from me for two years!

That's how life is when you work shifts... never see any of your neighbors.
