out shot by Dad

Dad & I went to the range today. It's one of the few things we both enjoy doing, so shooting and attending gun shows are things we do together.

The target with the tight group is Dad's. The target with holes all over the place is mine  . I was outshot by a 58-year-old man with a cataract in one eye. :smilelol5:

But, hey: you had a lot more hits. He stopped at five...unless about 10 additional rounds went through old holes.

Oh, and I should have edited: that was a 44 magnum. Boy was that a powerful gun!

Venus,

I learned a long time ago not to compete against my father at ANYTHING. It doesn't matter how much younger or better shape I am in he gets the best of me every time. It doesn't matter what it is, he'll have his best day and I'll have my worst. parents have a way of getting in your head without even trying. LOL. Not bad shooting for a .44!

Flint, fer shame. We gotta stick together. Yeah, in your 30s, old was over 50. But in your 50s, old is over 70. In your 60s, old will be over 80...

Ahem.

Don't feel bad Venus, my Dad regularly outshoots me. Thing is he doesn't shoot anywhere close as much as I do, and he still out shoots me! He's a prime example of the saying "Beware the man with one gun, because he knows how to use it".

Mom is 76 & she is not old. All you have to do is ask her & she will tell you.
She shoots pretty good too. :hurry:

I know, I know. ;-)

But if you can't "pick" at your friends...then who can ya pick on?

LT knows I'm just kidding with him.

I fully expect him to "come back" with something.

Good shooting by your Dad...Venus.

Yours ain't bad either.

I'm glad to be 53, and even happier LT is 58. It sure beats the alternative.

My great-grandmother lived to be 91 years old (I have a picture of her holding my son, her first great-great-grandchild, when he was 4 years old). As far as she was concerned, anybody more than 20 years younger than she was, was "a young'un."

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I made a math error... Dad is 59, but he's by no means in a coffin!

LT, I told my dad about your mom outshooting most of the men in her CHL class. He got a kick out of hearing that.
